Do you know that good day depends on how you started a day? Yes, taking some good step in the morning hour can make your day delightful.

Personally a few years ago, I used to sleep late at night and wake up late too. I was getting ready in few minutes and almost every day escape my breakfast. Then I snooze on the bus and reach the office. And I passed all the working hour with tiredness. My life was miserable!

Fortunately, that was my past and I overcome. Now I have a better habit to start my day in a good way. Today I will share it with you with pleasure. Hope those will help you to improve your beginning of a new day.

Wake up early in the morning

Early rises from bed offer many benefits. You can do your morning routine peacefully. Have enough time for doing exercise. You can go for morning walk and you will have enough time to meditate yourself. And the most essential things you will get is “fresh morning air”. Good to start a day with a refreshed mind.

After get up, make sure to make your bed. “A simple way to be happier is to make your bed every morning.”- said Gretchen Rubin, author of “The Happiness Project(3). Doing this simple task will create an inner calm in yourself.

Drink lemon juice instead of coffee

Lemon juice instead of coffee offers numerous benefits. You need to drink it first in the morning.

“It starts your metabolism that burns fat while sustaining muscle, cleanses your mouth and throat and gives you a boost of energy. Then wait at least 30 minutes before brushing your teeth, drinking or eating.” (2)

This process helps to reduce coffee addiction.

Do exercise before breakfast

Doing exercise in the morning hours helps to be refresh during the day. You can go for a morning jog or can do yoga poses. Those gives many health benefits and helps to prepare the body and mind for the day.

Take a shower

Taking a shower is important to start a new day. Without taking a shower, your body will fill-up with stress. Every single work will seem to be awful. After doing exercise, make sure to take a deep shower. Taking shower will reduce the stress and give you refreshment to do work all the day.

Meditate yourself 

Meditating in the morning helps to stay focused all the day. It reduces stress, improves emotional stability and helps to prevent health ailments. For meditating, you can start simply by focusing on your breath for three minutes every morning. For that do the following things.

  • Sit down a comfortable position.
  • Now close your eyes and focus on your breath.
  • Inhale for 4 counts, retain for 4 counts and exhale for 8.
  • Every time you feel your mind wandering, bring it back to your breath.
  • Then do this for three minutes. (3)
Eat a healthy breakfast

A healthy breakfast gives more energy and focusing power on work. Skipping breakfast can cause a slew of bad chain reaction throughout the body. That’s why mom says this the most important meal of the day.

“And yet 31 million Americans don’t eat a morning meal (28% of whom are men ages 18-34)” – according to a study conducted by NPD Group, a marketing research company. (1)

Make a to-do list

Sometimes we forget many important things that we have to do during the day. For that, you can make a to-do list on a pad instead of any electronic devices. It helps stay alert for all the important stuff of the day. If you forget something to do, you can see the list and then do what you miss. It’s works as a safety gears as well.
